Dhanabadee and Handicraft Village

Lunch after Dhanabadee.

Mule carriage rides to dinner at the Night Market!

Another exciting day in Thailand for the CSU crew! The day began with a trip to Dhanabadee Ceramic Museum where we learned all about the process for forming, firing, and painting ceramic dishes. Next we made a quick stop at a local village's temple where a monk was taking his vows. The entire village went to celebrate the occasion, whether they or not they knew him personally. From there, we went further into the village and watched the locals create elephant heads from raw wood blocks. Most of us got to try our own hand at woodworking (some were naturals, some not so much!) Finally, the day ended at the Night Market where we had a nice dinner at Aroy One Bhat and took a leisurely stroll through the market's booths.
