EGAT and Train Market

Today we had the unique opportunity to visit and tour the Electrical Governing Authority of Thailand in Mae Moh. They supply power to most of the northern providences with surprisingly minimal pollution. We were also able to visit their botanical gardens, where they landscape the mines that can no longer produce coal. It was amazing how beautifully they reused the land. We had a nice lunch at a country club overlooking the golf courses, and then we came back to the hotel to rest and work on our projects. At night we walked through the Train Night Market and got to try some delicious, authentic Muslim banana crêpes. One thing we will all definitely miss here is the food!

Mark saves the country's power by the press of a button!

Hard to believe that this land used to be a coal mine.

Making friends from Germany, France, and Canada!
