Morning Market, Lampang Baptist Church, and the Buddhist Monk

The morning began with a pleasant trip to another open air market where we tried some authentic Thai breakfast pastries and fruits. Many monks were outside, where people could give alms and donate food to them. Afterwards, we returned to the hotel to prepare for church. We were able to visit Lampang Baptist Church and worship with them in both the Thai and English languages. Most provinces in Thailand do not have a single Christian church, and only 0.63% of the population knows the Lord. Prayers for the church's continued efforts in spreading the Good News would be appreciated! Later in the afternoon, a British-Thai Buddhist monk spoke to us about the beliefs and practices of Buddhism. We ended the day at Central Plaza mall for dinner and fell asleep quickly after a long, eventful day!

The markets here host a huge array of interesting and exotic foods!

Rev. Bandhit Dawaen gave a heartwarming message
About the need for Christian evangelization of Thailand.

Who knew Dr. Naylor was so good at playing the piano?!

Say prayers of good luck.

Thai ice cream is always served with rice, and
One has the choice of bowl, cone, or bread sandwich!

  1. Marvelous opportunities and experiences. So glad you were able to worship with the Lampang church members. Love the ice cream and bread sandwich! Thai markets are extraordinary - great sounds, colors, smells and foods.

  2. What a nice addition for their church service and the things one learns about their co-workers on a school trip......does he give lessons?
